Move over, London Fashion Week. The hottest photo shoot of the season didn’t happen in Shoreditch or on the South Bank — it happened right here at Park View Care Home in Ipswich, and our residents absolutely owned the camera. Armed with feather boas, pearl necklaces, vintage teacups, and enough tulle to fill a ballroom, our ladies proved that glamour has no age limit — and that attitude is the only accessory you really need.
This wasn’t just a quick snap with a phone. We set up a proper studio with a gorgeous floral backdrop, professional lighting, and a dressing-up rail bursting with sequined capes, satin gloves, crowns, parasols, and everything fabulous in between. The result? Pure magic.
Behind the lens was our very own Krystal Johns — a star member of our activities and wellbeing team, and a talented photographer to boot. Krystal brought the vision, the energy, and the eye for a great shot, making every single resident feel like the cover star they truly are.
Not Your Average Tuesday

Other days it’s a gentle armchair exercise class, a baking session that fills the whole building with the smell of scones, or an afternoon of reminiscence with wartime memorabilia.
